DHI Technique

The DHI technique stands for Direct Hair Implantation. It is an advanced method of hair transplantation that involves directly implanting hair follicles into the scalp using a specialized tool called a DHI implanter pen (also known as a Choi pen).

Key Points:

  • No need to create recipient site slits: Unlike traditional methods like FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), the DHI technique doesn't require prior channel creation for implantation. The implanter pen both creates the slit and inserts the graft in one motion.

  • Minimally invasive: The procedure is precise and causes less trauma to the scalp.

  • Natural results: Because the angle, direction, and depth of each hair are controlled during implantation, the outcome often looks more natural.

  • Faster recovery: Patients typically experience quicker healing compared to traditional techniques.
